Snapshot:

DailyPay’s New York City office hosts 240 employees on site each week. As the company encouraged more consistent in-office attendance, the workplace team introduced a weekly meal program designed to excite employees, simplify logistics, and strengthen culture.

The Challenge

DailyPay wanted a reliable way to encourage employees to come into the office and cross-functional collaboration and engagement. Food was a natural lever, but the family-style catered lunches that made sense initially for the business created friction as they scaled.

Employees often missed meals due to meetings, portions were unpredictable, and managing restaurants and deliveries placed ongoing strain on the workplace team. As participation grew, the program became difficult to scale. DailyPay needed a dependable solution that could support a growing in-office workforce without added complexity.

The Solution

DailyPay transitioned away from catering, and built a weekly meal program using Sharebite Stations group ordering.

With Stations, employees order individual meals from a curated rotation of local restaurants. Orders are prepared, labeled, and delivered in a small number of consolidated drop-offs, giving employees flexibility while keeping logistics simple.

The program runs weekly on Wednesdays and regularly serves 200+ employees at a time.

The impact

Easy adoption across the office

From the first week, employees adopted the program quickly and with minimal friction. The onboarding experience felt intuitive, and employees were able to place orders confidently without additional guidance from the workplace team. In a biannual employee survey, 98% of DailyPay employees found Sharebite easy to use and navigate, reinforcing how seamlessly the program fit into the workday.

A more connected office culture

Lunch has become a moment of shared connection at DailyPay. Employees regularly discuss what they ordered, trade recommendations, and gather in small groups to eat together.

“Seeing employees gather in small groups to eat together has been one of the best parts of the program. It’s created real moments of connection.” — Felix Barrios, Office Administrator, DailyPay

Meals that create community impact

Sharebite’s social impact resonates strongly with DailyPay’s values. Employees feel proud knowing that each meal ordered helps support individuals facing food insecurity, and the company shares impact milestones quarterly across internal Slack channels.

“There’s a lot of comfort in knowing that week after week, the program just works. And if something doesn’t go to plan, there’s a team ready to help right away.” — Felix Barrios, Office Administrator, DailyPay
